Thank you for attending our WordCamp!

Thank you for attending our 2019 edition of WordCamp Lehigh Valley. This was our fourth WordCamp, and we are thrilled you chose to spend your day with us and our engaging lineup of speakers. Our team of organizers and volunteers had a great time planning and running the day’s events, and we enjoyed hanging out with you at our after party at Fegley’s Bethlehem Brew Works.

If you attended our WordCamp, we are eager to hear your thoughts on it and any suggestions you may have for next year’s event. Please help us to help you by filling out our survey. Thanks!

By popular request, most of our speakers have provided us with links to their slide decks. You can access them from our Sessions Schedule by clicking on each individual session and following the View Session Slides link within.

We also videotaped the speakers’ sessions in the main room, and they will be posted to WordPress TV as soon as possible. We will follow-up with another announcement when they are ready to view. We will be sharing our event photo gallery soon as well.

Did you know we also run a monthly Meetup group? We alternate between Bethlehem and Allentown with speakers on topics as varied as getting started, WordPress updates, development, marketing, and freelancing. Sometimes we host an open help desk event in lieu of a scheduled talk so that you can receive one-on-one help with your own site. We hope you will join our group and benefit from the camaraderie that comes with being a member of the local WordPress community.

Thank you again for making WordCamp Lehigh Valley 2019 a success! We look forward to seeing you again in 2020 which will be the 5th anniversary of our WordCamp!

Fragrance-Free and Allergy Safe Zone

Watching what you bring to WordCamp LV.

It’s always our mission to make WordCamp LV as inclusive and welcoming as possible, with that in mind we’re requesting that attendees only wear scented products as absolutely necessary. While we can appreciate a good deodorant we ask that the Cologne, Perfume, and scented lotions be saved for another occasion.

Chemical fragrances affect folks who suffer from migraines and allergies, and you can respect the personal environment of others at our event by not wearing any. More than two million Americans have fragrance allergies or sensitivities.

“For most people, fragrance allergy symptoms abate once the scent is out of range. But this isn’t always the case.”

We also need to request that no one bring popcorn into the space. Our space is not large, and we eat in one of the rooms we use for talks. Please be considerate about what you bring to WordCamp.  We’ve instituted a popcorn ban and have approached our caterer and sponsors to make sure they are aware so they can do their best to accommodate us.

But don’t worry you’ll be fed! We’ll be providing snacks, water, coffee, tea, and lunch to meet the needs of all attendees”

Thanks for your help in making this WordCamp accessible for everyone!

Keynote Presentation

Our Keynote presentation will be presented by Sal Ferrarello! Sal is a seasoned speaker who has spoken at many meetups and many local WordCamps! Sal will be giving his thoughts on what it takes to ‘Owning Your Website’.

His own description of the talk is –

We’ll look at the cost and the freedom that comes with owning your own WordPress website. Alongside these topics we’ll look at how to modify your website to truly make it your own.

If you have never heard Sal speak, you are in for a treat! He explains topics in a real-world example whether it is a fishing hobby, recipes or even just explaining something showing how it will appear in a spreadsheet!

We look forward to seeing everyone at our 4th WordCamp!
